Day 1: Arrival in Zanzibar

Day 2: Explore Zanzibar’s Stone Town & Spice Tour

• Morning:

  • After breakfast, head to Stone Town, the historical heart of Zanzibar.
  • Take a walking tour of Stone Town’s narrow streets and visit sites like the House of Wonders, Sultan’s Palace, Freddie Mercury’s House, and the Zanzibar Slave Market.

• Lunch:

  • Enjoy a traditional Zanzibari lunch at a local restaurant in Stone Town. Try Zanzibar pizza or pilau rice.

• Afternoon:

  • Visit a Spice Farm to see how Zanzibar got its “Spice Island” reputation. Learn about the production of cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, and pepper.

• Evening:

  • Return to your hotel for a sunset dinner by the beach.

Day 3: Full-Day Safari in Mikumi National Park

  • Have an early breakfast and take a domestic flight or drive to Mikumi National Park (about 5-6 hours by road from Zanzibar). If you’re flying, you can arrange a flight from Zanzibar to Selous Game Reserve or Ruinsori area to maximize your safari time.

• Morning/Afternoon:

  • Arrive at the park, where you will enjoy a game drive. Mikumi is home to lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and elephants.

Day 4: Safari Game Drive & Return to Zanzibar

Day 5: Zanzibar Beach Day & Departure

  • Optionally, if you’re interested, visit Jozani Forest to see the rare red colobus monkeys.

  • Transfer to Zanzibar International Airport for your departure flight.
